A two day workshop in VRT – Vertical Reflex Therapy -Booth method for qualified reflexologists providing a Basic introduction to VRT followed by a second day of more advanced techniques.
The Basic VRT Workshop will cover the background to the discovery and development of Vertical Reflex Therapy and Synergistic Reflexology. Its role as a new technique for treating orthopaedic and other conditions while feet are weight bearing will be examined and demonstrated as well as its benefits in enhancing conventional treatments.
There are practical sessions where the basic concepts and techniques of VRT are learnt plus the very effective Synergistic Reflexology where hands and feet are worked simultaneously. Self-help and Diaphragm Rocking will be demonstrated and a comprehensive handout, with charts showing new reflex points on the dorsum and legs, will be provided. The theory of Zonal Triggers and three-point Synergistic Reflexology will be shown.
The Advanced VRT Workshop will cover a variety of new techniques and updates on the further development of Vertical Reflex Therapy and Synergistic Reflexology.
The following techniques will be introduced or developed further:

- Stimulation of Neural pathways and zonal triggers
- Combination of Diaphragm Rocking and Lymphatic Stimulation
- Extending the combination of reflex points and Zonal Triggers.
- “Metatarsal Pressure”
- “Knuckle Dusting”
- “Palming”
- Hand reflexology when weight-bearing.
- Plantar Stepping
- Specific sample treatments for asthma and irritable bowel.
- Revision of basic VRT method.
- Full 20 minute comprehensive treatment incorporating new techniques

Participants will be encouraged to appreciate the scope of shorter treatments for children, the chronically ill and elderly. Reflexologists will be encouraged to look at the expansion of their work into areas such as offices, sports teams and services such as the police where shorter treatments could be offered.
A Certificate of Attendance will be issued.
VRT has now been taught to over 4,000 qualified practitioners in the UK and Europe and is considered by some to be an essential tool for every reflexologist.
